About me

I have had a passion for design ever since I was a young girl in Poland. My mother was a dressmaker. I would watch her for hours creating wonderful garments for her customers from an array of colours, fabrics and styles. She inspired me to design clothes myself, starting with my own models: my dolls!
Throughout school, I had a flair for art and from an early age enjoyed sketching.
When I reached an age where I had to make a decision about my future career, I realised there was only one path for me: my dream was to follow in my mother’s footsteps and become a dressmaker myself.

I spent 6 years studying the art of Clothes’ Design at college. I learned all the skills and techniques associated with the trade, and soon discovered I possessed a natural talent for design.

In order to further expand my horizons, I moved to Scotland in 2005. In Edinburgh, an unexpected introduction to Flamenco dance opened a whole new world to me that combined everything I was fond of: dress design, dance and music. I was spellbound by the blend of ingredients and how they were infused with such passion; this mirrored how I felt about design.

I’ve been a Flamenco dance student for 2 years now, and with that experience came a will to design Flamenco outfits. I currently make garments for individual dancers and for large public performances, creating contemporary designs for Flamenco dresses, practice skirts and upper body wear. Due to the nature of the dance, I adapt my use of fabrics to fit a certain purpose, using stretchy materials to deliver comfort and confidence for instance or creating voluminous skirts to inspire glamour and sophistication.
